PASSION

S c i l l i c a m p a n a L a n d a n d V i n e y a r d s

All Scillicampana wines are produced from carefully selected grapes from specific vineyards of the company.

The vineyards stretch along the southeastern slope of the San Marco hill, one of the three hillside areas in Montefalcione, in the province of Avellino.

We are in the heart of Irpinia, a territory with a powerful and ancient viticultural history and the presence of native grape varieties.

Vineyard activities are primarily manual. Winter pruning is carried out, along with targeted interventions of green pruning to ensure balanced plant development and high quality standards of the grapes.

Harvesting is done by monitoring the quality parameters and ripeness level of the grapes. It is performed manually with selective picking, using small crates to preserve the integrity of the berries.

At the end of the 1990s, the Baldassarre family purchased a plot of land in San Marco, on Via Appia Antica, an old mule track that runs along the southern border of Montefalcione and intersects the municipality of Lapio, in the area that corresponds to the ancient Appian Way
