Carmine Baldassarre was born right there, in 1951, in the family farmhouse near Fondo Acqua Ausiello.
Deeply connected to his land, he draws inspiration from his peasant origins and works on planting a vineyard of Fiano di Avellino DOCG on about one hectare of land.
He dedicates several years to the care of his vines, performing every activity in the vineyard manually.
Together with his wife, he establishes the Florio Mariantonia agricultural company. With the support of his family, he passionately cultivates the owned lands and engages in producing high-quality grapes, which he supplies to prominent wineries.

In the late 1990s, the Baldassarre family acquires a piece of land in San Marco, on Via Appia Antica. An ancient mule track that, traversing the southern borders of Montefalcione, intersects the municipality of Lapio.
This territory coincides with the ancient Apia, from where historically the cultivation of Fiano di Avellino would have spread to the entire current production area as defined by the regulations.

Almost two decades pass, and the children Vincenzo, Pasquale, Antonio, and Daniela inherit the deep connection to their land and the experience of their parents, deciding to continue and enrich the family business.
The goal of the new company is to embrace technological innovation for winemaking and the production of high-quality wines, while strictly respecting the environment and the climatic conditions of each vintage.
The new project is based on the high quality standards already achieved for the grapes from the initial Fiano vineyard, through the control of planting density and production per vine, using carefully applied forms of training and pruning systems that have been meticulously implemented by the family for years. They respect the inherent characteristics of the territory and carry out every vineyard activity manually.
